Called customer services who told me SIM was out of date?? Go to a Tesco shop. Did so and they have emails on their system giving this exact problem that has been going on for over 48 hours, yet can not be bothered to tell their customers or inform them. Appears Tesco to Tesco mobiles do not have an issue, but any other network trying to talk or send to a Tesco mobile get ‘Number not recognised’

But walked past the local mast and engineers are working on it, I contacted O2 who own that mast and they said its upgrade work to 5G taking place. Since then still not able to take or make calls. Never had any issues before. Tesco then said only after I told them about the engineers upgrade work to 5G on the local mast and they said oh yeah there is some upgrade work to 5G by O2. I told Tesco my phone was still unable to take or make calls. And Tesco told me to use my phone on 2G. Which to be fair did work I was able to make calls and receive calls. But 2G is apparently very low grade encryption and is a security risk and also is it an upgrade? to go from 4G to 2G. I was on years ago. Worse thing is to pay for a service that is only 2G when i was on 4G. That's a downgrade and it's even worse considering that the upgrade was to 5G. Plus 2G is going to be phased out. Many sources advise not using 2G as its a security risk. It's really bad customer service

Up and down signal most days. Worse seems to be at weekends. Issue a local mass being fix continuely,but it been happening months with no changes to service with the tesco signal. Paying for a service they don't provide fully.

Sunbury-on-Thames, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland • 8 months agoI have been having problems with 4G service on Tesco Mobile for about 5 months, previously it was pretty good. I get 4G at home (where I don't need it as I have WiFi) but when driving in a 10 mile radius (possibly further but I haven't tried) and trying to stream music, at least half of the time I have no connection at all and cannot listen to music in the car. I live in a medium sized town between Bournemouth and Southampton, not rural but not a busy city. When I go to the town center, the Tesco superstore, or countless other places, I sometimes want to check my online banking to keep track of spending and am always unable to do this. I have spoken to Tesco Mobile today as well as a month ago and they asked for postcodes of the problem areas so I provided a few examples and was told that there is an issue with the network in these areas but it's down to 02. That is understandable but it's not acceptable that Tesco Mobile cannot provide any time scheme for the problem being resolved when it's been going on for months already. When I asked about compensation I am told I should receive it (unspecified amount) when the problem has been resolved - who knows when that will be. In the meantime I must continue paying full price for an unsatisfactory service which irritates me nearly every day. I don't know if this is the same with other networks or different areas but it seems crazy in 2023 when we all have 5G enabled devices that 70% of the time my 4G doesn't work at all and even switching to 3G rarely solves the problem
