The next day - just as I was calling a plumber - the pressure returned to normal. I then checked Thames water website and they explained they had a problem at the Hampton and Ashford water treatment centres. I think the issue is the same today as again I have now water pressure and so no hot water or heating. I live in the post code W14 9SR.
